Monday, August 10, 2009 - No reponse yet

Since I have not yet received a response from Mr. Chidsey or anyone from Burger King to my letter dated July 31, 2009, below, I thought I'd share my letter with anyone who wanted to see it on the internet. Perhaps others have had similar experiences.

The issue is greater than one broken tooth. The issue has to do with corporate responsibility and how corporations, which are licensed by the state and federal governments, have gained an inordinate amount of power — more than individual citizens — and have a habit of dismissing individuals whenever possible unless (of course) they can make a buck from them.

As I state in my letter, I actually have fond memories of taking my kids to Burger King while they were growing up. (They are now both in college.) It's unfortunate that this one experience has soured my thinking about it.

  1. That's horrible. I read your letter to the company and it's really upsetting how they responded. Good thing I haven't experience that and the last time I visited the dentist (Murfreesboro-based), my teeth are just fine. I wonder what happened to this issue. Was it resolved? Big food chains should be really responsible with their services. I better check out other customers who had the same experience. This is disappointing.

    1. I also am trying to get Burger King to fix my tooth and they refuse to help me. On three random occasions I ordered double cheeze burgers and there were bones within the meat. The first two times did not break my tooth but the third time did. I have been round and round, ignored, and treated as a liar. They refered me to their insurance company who refused to pay stating there was no physical evidence. What . . did they want me to mail the little bone in a little box to them?? It is sad and angers me because I have made it 35 years without even a cavity and now I have a broken molar because of a dollar cheeze burger. I have no insurance and enrolled in college so I cannot afford to get my tooth fixed not to mention the pain. richardsricky34@yahoo.com

    1. My name is Stacey Foster and I just broke my lower right side molar on a Burger King cheeseburger. I swallowed the bone and the piece of my tooth. I went back in the restaurant immediately after it happened. I was told to contact the general manager in the morning which I will do. My email is chrrris1420@msn.com. If you could, I would like to hear about what happened with your situation..thanks.
